Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains cancellation, failed payment, duplicate payment, manual verification, and refund handling for diagnostic bookings.

1. Cancellation Before Sample Collection
A booking may be cancelled before sample collection or before test processing begins. Refund eligibility depends on payment status, operational status, and whether any service cost has already been incurred.
2. After Sample Collection or Test Processing
Once the sample is collected or test processing has started, cancellation or refund may not be possible because laboratory resources, consumables, and processing efforts may already be used.
3. Failed or Duplicate Payments
If payment is debited but confirmation is not received, users should contact us with transaction reference, UPI reference, screenshot, gateway order ID, or payment ID. Verified duplicate or failed payments eligible for refund will be processed after confirmation.
4. Manual Payment Verification
For manual UPI or uploaded payment proof, payment status is updated only after staff verification. Incorrect or false proof may lead to rejection or delay.
5. Online Payment Gateway Refunds
When payments are processed through an online gateway, approved refunds may be processed through the gateway or another approved method. Actual credit time depends on the bank, UPI provider, card issuer, payment gateway, and settlement cycle.
6. Non-Refundable Cases
- Service already completed or sample already processed.
- Incorrect patient details provided by the user after report generation.
- User not available for scheduled sample collection after confirmation.
- Delay caused by wrong contact or address details.
- Requests made after completion of service, unless approved by management.
7. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, contact us with patient name, registered mobile number, booking/report/payment reference, amount, date, transaction ID or screenshot, and reason for refund.
8. Refund Approval
Refunds are subject to verification and approval by Uma Diagnostic Centre. Approved refunds will be processed through the available payment method or gateway process.
